BEB, RFQ, PDU, bid security. What each one means, and what it is not.

• Bid securityA guarantee you submit with your bid, which the buyer can claim if you walk away.
• BEB (Best Evaluated Bidder)The bidder a procuring entity intends to award, named on a public notice.
• RFQ (Request for Quotations)The light method used for small, straightforward buys.
• PDU (Procurement and Disposal Unit)The office inside a buyer that runs its procurements.
• Framework agreementA standing arrangement to buy the same thing repeatedly over a period.
• AddendumA change the buyer publishes after the notice is out.
